His role sits where two things meet: the established trade in iron and steel that the business belongs to, and a more deliberate approach to material recovery, in which imported machinery is taken apart with care and its metal returned to productive use.

The business remains a proprietorship, owned by its proprietor, Jaswinder Singh, who is answerable for its commitments.
